Modern Hindi Workshop 2015 in Poland

Following the tradition of Sanskrit, Brajbhasha and Hindi workshops we have the pleasure to announce the next Modern Hindi Translation Workshop, which will be organized by the Department of Languages and Cultures of India & South AsiaJagiellonian University in Kraków.

The aim of the event is to bring together writers, translators, Hindi scholars and advanced students  in a relatively informal way to read Hindi literature and debate translation strategies, either in seminar room or out in the nature.

All previous workshops of Sanskrit (nine retreats between 2002 and 2014), Modern Hindi (Miercurea Ciuc in 2013) and Old Hindi (Miercurea Ciuc in 2011, Warsaw in 2013, and Bansko in 2014) proved to have consitituted a highly successful ground for exchanging ideas,  practicing insightful reading and creating fruitful ties inside and between the academic and literary worlds.
